If not cleaned reguarly carbon build-ups and lead fouling can impede performance of and safety quickly. some guns may operate a long time between cleanings, but the longer you wait the harder the job gets and the more dangerous it becomes to fire the gun. Clean your gun every time you fire it and you will treat you well. On top of cleaning you should inspect the condition of all your guns parts reguarly for wear and damage.
